ABOUT SRC
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aims and objectives of the SRC includes but not limited to:
- Seeking the interest and welfare of the student body of Ghana in general and this University in particular
- Serve as the mouthpiece of the entire student body of this University
- Provide a means of communication between students and the University Authorities in all matters affecting the student body as a whole or part thereof
- Coordinate with other students organizations in Ghana and elsewhere on matters of mutual interest; and Foster good relations between students of this University and the outside world.
COMPOSITION
The S.R.C is composed of:
- The General Assembly
- The Executive Committee
- The Judicial (Board) Committee of the General Assembly
The General Assembly comprises -
a) The Executive officers elected under the Constitution of the SRC
b) The President of the University
c) Class/ Lecture representatives
d) Two Foreign Students
STRUCTURE OF THE SRC
- The President,
- Secretary,
- Financial controller,
- Vice President who shall be a non- voting member (Making the exercutive officers)
Followed by all other elected executives (who include)
- Public relations officer
- External affairs organizer
- External affairs chairperson
- Entertainment committee chairman
- Sports chairperson
- Women’s commissioner
- External affairs secretary
- Hall presidents
