FOOD BAZAAR & HEALTH CHECK

The health check started before the food bazaar but each was successful. The University nurse Mrs. Jancy Helena Rajmohan and the head of department Biomedical Dr. V. Pugalendi supervised the exercise. There were eight students volunteers from the Biomedical engineering department. Most of them were in the fifth and seventh semester, they were, Tchikaya Noel, Faith Isu, Patience Ejike, Fiati Daniel, Dwemena – Tsare Ebenezer Chioma Udeoya, Stephen Fiadjoe and Eradiri Blessed. Some lectures also helped.

The health check was about checking your body mass index (weight height est.), blood pressure and blood type/group; it was amazing to see the number of students who came to know their blood type / group. At 11:30am about hundred students had been checked and there were more waiting for their turn.

The food bazaar was also fun. They had food competition of which some of the members faculty took part, Below we have a picture of Dr. Sathesh the HOD of Business Administration who took the first position in the food competition, imagine the business student excitement as they cheered their HOD to victory.

There were about six stands where students from different countries prepared different kinds of foods; the Indians faculty also took part. There were five judges for the occasion. It was a tough decision to make because participants did well. See pictures.
